Introduction to the notes

Though a LUST course, the course borrows a lot of material from a similar course prepared by the Belgian local organisation, which in turn was prepared in the framework of the VSC Tier-0 support activities with funding from FWO - Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen (or Research Foundation – Flanders) which we hereby acknowledge.

Various training materials and the documentation from the Belgian Walloon HPC project CÉCI were also a great source of inspiration.
