libxs

License information

Libxs is released under a BSD 3-clause license a copy of which can be found in the LICENSE.md file in the GitHub repository.

This file can also be found in $EBROOTLIBXS/share/licenses/libxs after installing and loading the module.

User-installable modules (and EasyConfigs)

Install with the EasyBuild-user module:

eb <easyconfig> -r

To access module help after installation and get reminded for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider libxs/<version>.

EasyConfig:

• ccpe container only EasyConfig libxs-1.0.0-cpeGNU-26.03.eb, will build libxs/1.0.0-cpeGNU-26.03

LIBXS is a portable C library providing building blocks for memory operations, numerics, synchronization, and more — with a focus on performance and minimal dependencies. Originally developed as part of LIBXSMM.

EasyBuild

Version 1.0.0 only appeared in June 2026, likely with the release of libxsmm 2.0.0, so when we started developing recipes for libxs, there was not much around.

• No support in the EasyBuilders repository.

• Spack package libxs

• The EasyConfig is a LUST development, using information from the CP2K build script for libxs and the Spack package file.
