License information

The precise licensing is unclear but it is GNU-based as the sources contain both a COPYING and COPYING.LESSER file, refering to the regular GNU General Public License version 4 and the GNU Lesser General Public License Version 3 respectively.

From LUMI/24.03 on, some license information can also be found in the $EBROOTZEROMQ subdirectory after installing and loading the modulee.

User-installable modules (and EasyConfigs)

Install with the EasyBuild-user module:

eb <easyconfig> -r
To access module help after installation and get reminded for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider ZeroMQ/<version>.

Technical documentation

EasyBuild

Version 4.3.4 for CPE 22.08 and CPE 22.12

  • Based on the JSC easyconfig

  • Unload the cray-libsci module to prevent linking to the threaded version of libsci which is not needed. It avoid the double linking problem with application that actually need libsci

Version 4.3.5 from CPE 23.09 on

  • Trivial version bump from 4.3.4.

  • For 26.03 we added a cpeCray version and also made better sanity checks.

Something strange is going on with the cpeCray version though as it links libraries that we do not expect to be linked.

Archived EasyConfigs

The EasyConfigs below are additional easyconfigs that are not directly available on the system for installation. Users are advised to use the newer ones and these archived ones are unsupported. They are still provided as a source of information should you need this, e.g., to understand the configuration that was used for earlier work on the system.
