License information

x265 is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 2 (with commercial licenses available for use that violates the GPL). A copy of the GPL is also provided in the COPYING file in the source repository.

From LUMI/23.12 on, the COPYING file can also be found in the directory $EBROOTX265/share/licenses/x265 after loading the module.

Pre-installed modules (and EasyConfigs)

To access module help and find out for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider x265/<version>.

EasyBuild

Version 3.5 from CPE 21.06 on

  • The EasyConfig is a mix of the University of Antwerpen one and the EasyBuilders one.

    • We did delete the numactl-devel OS dependency used in Antwerpen even though it may have a positive influence on the performance.

  • For LUMI/23.12, license information was added to the installation.

Archived EasyConfigs

The EasyConfigs below are additonal easyconfigs that are not directly available on the system for installation. Users are advised to use the newer ones and these archived ones are unsupported. They are still provided as a source of information should you need this, e.g., to understand the configuration that was used for earlier work on the system.
