unicore-uftp

License information

The UNICORE UFTP client is covered by a 2-clause BSD license.

After installation of the package and loading of the module, the license is available as the file LICENSE in $EBROOTUNICOREMINUFTP/share/licenses/unicore-uftp.

User documentation

These recipes for the UNICORE UFTP client are provides as-is. LUMI is not running any UFTP server and the LUMI User Support Team has no means to test this UFTP client installation, hence cannot help with issues.

User-installable modules (and EasyConfigs)

Install with the EasyBuild-user module:

eb <easyconfig> -r

To access module help after installation and get reminded for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider unicore-uftp/<version>.

EasyConfig:

• EasyConfig unicore-uftp-1.8.0-Java-21.eb, will build unicore-uftp/1.8.0-Java-21

  ! User installation is possible in partit0on/common, making a single installation ! available in all regular partitions.

• EasyConfig unicore-uftp-2.2.2-Java-21.eb, will build unicore-uftp/2.2.2-Java-21

EasyBuild

• unicore-uftp client support in the EasyBuilders repository

• There is no support for the UFTP client in the CSCS repository.

• There is no support for UFTP in Spack

Version 1.8.0

• Started from the EasyBuilders EasyConfig, but

  • Moved to downloads from GitHub and the new homepage

  • Even though the code seems built with Java 11, we decided to move to Java 21 as that is likely more useful for users who want to use other Java packages also.

• Moved the license file etc. to our standard location in share/licenses.
