SZ3

License information

The SZ3 package is distributed under a BSD-style license that can be found in the copyright-and-BSD-license.txt file in the SZ3 GitHub.

This file can also be found in $EBROOTSZ3/share/licenses/SZ after installing and loading the module.

User-installable modules (and EasyConfigs)

Install with the EasyBuild-user module:

eb <easyconfig> -r

To access module help after installation and get reminded for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider SZ3/<version>.

EasyConfig:

ccpe container only EasyConfig SZ3-3.3.2-cpeGNU-26.03-hdf5-parallel.eb, will build SZ3/3.3.2-cpeGNU-26.03-hdf5-parallel

This version uses the cray-hdf5 and cray-netcdf modules.

Technical documentation

SZ3 is a thouroughly modified version of SZ (SZ2 is also considered SZ) and it appears that it can be used together with SZ in software packages (at least ADIOS does so) which is why we have switched the package name to SZ3. Spack also makes it a separate package.

EasyBuild

There is no support for SZ3 in the EasyBuilders repository when we started development.

The EasyConfig is a LUST development. Options and dependencies are different from SZ 1.x and 2.x.
