PCRE

License information

PCRE and PCRE2 use a 3-Clause BSD License.

PCRE is barely maintained and users are encouraged to switch to PCRE2. The precise license formulation for PCRE can be found in the LICENSE file in the source code. See, e.g, also the LICENCE file in this unofficial mirror of the PCRE library.

Pre-installed modules (and EasyConfigs)

To access module help and find out for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider PCRE/<version>.

EasyConfig:

Technical documentation

Note that PCRE is old code that is no longer maintained. We're trying to move over to the newer PCRE2 libraries which are the successor of PCRE.

EasyBuild

Version 8.45 from CPE 21.06 on

  • The EasyConfig is derived from the University of Antwerpen one as that one builds a more fully featured version of the library.

Archived EasyConfigs

The EasyConfigs below are additonal easyconfigs that are not directly available on the system for installation. Users are advised to use the newer ones and these archived ones are unsupported. They are still provided as a source of information should you need this, e.g., to understand the configuration that was used for earlier work on the system.
