License information

GEOS is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1, a copy of which can be found in the COPYING file in the GitHub repository.

After installing and loading the module, the license information can also be found in $EBROOTGEOS/share/licenses/GEOS/COPYING.

User-installable modules (and EasyConfigs)

Install with the EasyBuild-user module:

eb <easyconfig> -r

To access module help after installation and get reminded for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider GEOS/<version>.

EasyConfig:

• EasyConfig GEOS-3.11.0-cpeGNU-22.08.eb, will build GEOS/3.11.0-cpeGNU-22.08

• EasyConfig GEOS-3.12.1-cpeGNU-23.09.eb, will build GEOS/3.12.1-cpeGNU-23.09

Version 3.11.0 for cpeGNU 22.08

• The EasyConfig is based on the EasyBuilders one.

• The option was added to install libraries in lib instead of lib64 as most software that we build with EasyBuild is currently installed in lib. This may make it easier to transform this EasyConfig into a bundle component where it is important that all components use the same directory.

Version 3.12.1 for cpeGNU 23.09

• The EasyConfig is a trivial version update of the 23.09 one.
