From LUMI/24.03 on, this information can also be found in $EBROOTADIOS2/share/licenses/ADIOS2 after installing and loading the module.

User-installable modules (and EasyConfigs)

Install with the EasyBuild-user module:

eb <easyconfig> -r

To access module help after installation and get reminded for which stacks and partitions the module is installed, use module spider ADIOS2/<version>.

EasyConfig:

• EasyConfig ADIOS2-2.10.1-cpeGNU-24.03-hdf5-parallel.eb, will build ADIOS2/2.10.1-cpeGNU-24.03-hdf5-parallel

  This version uses the cray-hdf5-parallel module.

• EasyConfig ADIOS2-2.10.1-cpeGNU-24.03.eb, will build ADIOS2/2.10.1-cpeGNU-24.03

  This version uses the cray-hdf5 module.

• EasyConfig ADIOS2-2.10.2-cpeGNU-25.03-MPI-hdf5-parallel.eb, will build ADIOS2/2.10.2-cpeGNU-25.03-MPI-hdf5-parallel

  This version uses the cray-hdf5-parallel module and uses MPI.

  This version uses the cray-hdf5 module. It provides only shared libraries. It does not contain the Python interfaces as there are often compatibility issues between GNU-compiled Python modules and advanced libraries compiled with non-GNU compilers due to runtime library conflicts.

• ccpe container only EasyConfig ADIOS2-2.12.1-cpeGNU-26.03-MPI-hdf5-parallel.eb, will build ADIOS2/2.12.1-cpeGNU-26.03-MPI-hdf5-parallel

  This version uses the cray-hdf5-parallel module and uses MPI. It provides only shared libraries. It does contain the Python interfaces also, but we cannot exclude that they conflict with some other Python packages.

• ccpe container only EasyConfig ADIOS2-2.12.1-cpeGNU-26.03-noMPI-hdf5.eb, will build ADIOS2/2.12.1-cpeGNU-26.03-noMPI-hdf5

  This version uses the cray-hdf5 module. It provides only shared libraries. It does contain the Python interfaces also.

• EasyConfig ADIOS2-2.9.1-cpeGNU-23.09.eb, will build ADIOS2/2.9.1-cpeGNU-23.09

Version 2.7.1 for CPE 22.08

Version 2.8.3 for CPE 22.12

Version 2.9.1 fro CPE 23.09

• Trivial port of the 1.8.3 EasyConfig.

• But switched the homepage to the page on readthedocs as the old home page doesn't seem to be updated anymore.

Version 2.10.1 for CPE 24.03

• Trivial port, but took a nicer way of configuring the configopts.

• Changed in May 2025: Turned profiling on as that is needed for VisIt.

Version 2.10.2 for CPE 25.03

• Trivial port of the 2.10.1 EasyConfig for 24.03, but added a versionsuffix to the version using cray-hdf5 to make the differences clearer from the name.

Version 2.11.0 for CPE 25.09

• Mostly a trivial port of the 2.10.2 EasyConfig for 25.03, but changed the name of the download to a more meaningful name rather than just v2.11.0.tar.gz.

Version 2.12.1 for CPE 26.03

• Started as a version bump of the 2.11.0 EasyConfig for 25.09, but went on with a clean-up and adding new options:

• Added a cpeCray version.

• This version of ADIOS does not pick up the regular Blosc, but needs Blosc2 2.x. The 3.x versions did not work.

• Also added cURL as a dependency as it picked up the system one.

• Added SQLite as it was searching for it.

• Added SZ3 support to the cpeGNU versions. For the cpeCray versions, we first need to find a solution for compile issues with the CCE compilers.

Archived EasyConfigs

The EasyConfigs below are additional easyconfigs that are not directly available on the system for installation. Users are advised to use the newer ones and these archived ones are unsupported. They are still provided as a source of information should you need this, e.g., to understand the configuration that was used for earlier work on the system.
